FEATURE ON NEW EXHIBITION AND BOOK COUTURE GRAPHIC
From February 16th to August 8th, some of my films will be on view at the exhibition Couture Graphique, in Breda's Museum Of The Image (MOTI) the first exhibition ever about fashion
and graphic design; presenting the communicative
and decorative aspects of clothing and accessories as a means of
communication.
Curated by José Teunissen (Professor in Fashion Theory at ArtEZ in Arnhem, Holland
and since 2009 visiting professor to the University of the Arts in
London), the exhibition opens alongside the release of an extensive book on the topic of graphic design and fashion, designed by Paul Boudens. This book can be bought in the
museum shop and bookstores, but you can also order it here

A project curated by Javier Barcala and Eve-Marie Kuijstermans.
Designers invited to create an exclusive capsule collection for this exhibition are Lena Lumelsky (BE), Celine De Schepper (BE), Katrien Van Hecke (BE), Jantine Van Peski (NL), Pauline Van Dongen (NL) and Natalie De Koning (NL).
The fashion graduates selected to show their collections during this event are Manon Kundig (Antwerp Academy, BE), Klaas Rommelaere (Royal Academy of Fine Arts Ghent, BE), Morta Griskeviciute (Gerrit Rietveld Academy, NL), Yvonne Kwok (Amfi, NL), , Aliki Van Der Kruis (Sandberg Institute, NL), Jef Montez (Artez, NL)

On September 21 from 16h-20h RA will host a High Fashion Low Countries cocktail party to discover the unique couture pieces of this innovative project and meet firsthand the participant designers, the curators and other fashion insiders involved.
